Testing dns server dengan nslookup

Dns ngambek?

Gak tahu server dns mana yang OK?

Ya di coba saja pake nslookup :-)

Dari gambar di atas terlihat bahwa Dns server nya ada 2 :

  1. 202.146.178.4
  2. 208.67.222.222

Kadang-kadang isian ini terisi hanya 1 saja, 2 atau bisa lebih dari 1.

Cara untuk testing apakah server dns ini bekerja baik bisa dengan menghapus ‘preferred’ dns server dan mengganti posisinya atau bisa juga menggunakan nslookup.

Caranya :

1. Klik start -> run

isikan cmd dan tekan OK.

2. Masuk ke DOS prompt

lserver NAME    – set default server to NAME, using initial server
finger [USER]   – finger the optional NAME at the current default host
root            – set current default server to the root
ls [opt] DOMAIN [> FILE] – list addresses in DOMAIN (optional: output to FILE)
-a          -  list canonical names and aliases
-d          -  list all records
-t TYPE     -  list records of the given type (e.g. A,CNAME,MX,NS,PTR etc.)
view FILE           – sort an ‘ls’ output file and view it with pg
exit            – exit the program

Yup, untuk tes server mana yang bekerja sekarang bisa di pakai perintah :

server ip dns server

untuk berganti ke dns server sebelumnya di gunakan perintah :

lserver ip dns server

seperti contoh di atas :-)
